TAPROOM SERVER


Crystal Coast Brewing is looking forward to the spring and summer, and we are in search of a qualified candidate to represent our brand and serve our craft beer at our beautiful taproom in Atlantic Beach!


We are currently seeking someone to work 2-3 shifts per week and become a part of our CCBC team. Knowledge and experience in the craft beer industry is preferred. The position pays $8 per hour in addition to tips.


Desired skills include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to take orders
  • Ability to properly pour and serve alcohol (beer, wine, and cider)
  • Ability to work on your feet for prolonged amounts of time
  • Ability to greet and welcome customers
  • Ability to perform cleaning duties such as stocking, sanitizing, sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms
  • Ability to handle and count cash transactions
  • Ability to make change accurately
  • Ability to process credit cards using Point of Sale software
  • Strong communicator and a team player
  • Possess basic computer and mathematical skills
  • Have an understanding of basic safety
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ad hoc tasks as necessary

ASSISTANT BREWER


Crystal Coast Brewing is expanding! We are in search of a qualified candidate who is looking for an opportunity to further their brewing career, while also living in beautiful coastal North Carolina!


Our brewery is currently looking for a 1-3 year experienced assistant brewer to add to our team. Our number one priority is the quality of our product - in which we are consistently striving to improve our company efficiency, productivity, and the overall caliber of our product. 


In addition to brewing our flagships, we love taking the opportunity to try new styles and getting creative. You will have the ability to participate in recipe creation in conjunction with the head brewer. If you can think it, we can brew it!


Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:


General

  • Ability to lift 55lbs+ repeatedly
  • Ability to stoop, bend, crouch, squat, dodge, dip, dive, duck and slide with style
  • Ability to work on your feet for prolonged amounts of time
  • Ability to work in louder and sometimes hot/cold environment
  • Must be a strong communicator and a team player
  • Possess basic computer and mathematical skills
  • Have an understanding of safe work practices, the use of PPE, and following our SOP
  • Maintain a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends as needed
  • Mechanical aptitude (additional points for plumbing and commercial electrical skills)
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to run operations when head brewer is unavailable
  • Ad hoc tasks as necessary


Brewing

  • Assisting on brew days (handling/milling grain, recording data, maintaining the brewing process)
  • Mash-in/mash-out
  • Yeast management
  • Rearranging hoses for pump transfers between HLT, MT and BK
  • Prepping for Knock Out
  • CIP Brewhouse, HXC, and KO lines post-brewing
  • Cleaning of all brewery surfaces and equipment
  • Raw materials management (grain/spent grain, yeast and hops)


Keg Management

  • Prep and perform keg washing on Automatic Washer
  • Assemble/break down Kegging Setup
  • Fill and organize kegs
  • CIP tanks
  • Keg inventory management
